Shoebuy in the Saucony Originals Office League Championship Game
This summer, Shoebuy employees joined together as Team Shoebizzle to participate in the Saucony Originals Office League. One night a week for nine weeks, the team donned their bright green jerseys and Saucony Originals after work to play obscure sports against three other Boston based companies. At the end of the season Shoebizzle was in a respectable second place from their wins in Steal the Bacon, Ladder Golf, and Wiffle Ball.
On September 15, 2009, in Boston Common Shoebizzle took on Sonicbids in a game of Circle Rules Football to decide the champion. Greg Manely, the game’s inventor came from New York City to referee and explain the game which is a mix of elements from soccer, football, and yoga. The Shoebizzle MVP was definitely Scott L. who was instrumental in getting the team on the scoreboard, resulting in an eruption from the Shoebuy cheering section. Although Scott and the team put up a good fight, Sonicbids won 7-2. We are proud of Shoebizzle for coming in second place and the team spirit they demonstrated throughout the season.
