Shoebuy.com Named A Corporate Partner Award Recipient by National Coalition for Homeless Veterans
With Memorial Day coming up this Monday, now is the perfect time to remember those who have fought for our country. United States Veterans’ Affairs estimates that 154,000 veterans are homeless on any given night. Sadly, approximately one out of every three homeless males has served in the US military.
Shoebuy recognizes this as being a serious issue so we teamed up with the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) to raise money for their cause. NCHV is a nonprofit organization that is a resource and technical assistance center for a national network of community-based service providers and local, state and federal agencies that provide emergency and supportive housing, food, health services, job training and placement assistance as well as several other services for hundreds of thousands of homeless veterans each year.
Yesterday, May 21st, Shoebuy received the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans’ Outstanding Corporate Partner Award from at their annual banquet in Arlington, Virginia. This honor recognizes Shoebuy’s extensive efforts to dedicate resources, increase awareness and raise funds for the organization.
